Sales Manager (GB) – Retaining Wall TeamTo facilitate future growth plans, Tobermore is now recruiting a Retaining Wall Sales Manager GB to join our Retaining Wall team!Job Summary:The role of the Retaining Wall Sales Manager is to coordinate and manage the development of Secura sales via Groundworker relationships, specifically Secura Registered Contractors and identified Secura Target Accounts. Delivering disciplined opportunity tracking, regular customer meetings, promotion of services & resources and excellent customer service which will result in winning orders and strong sales growth. Tasks are not in any particular order, therefore the sequence which they appear should not be interpreted as indicating priority or relative importance.Duties will include:
- Building a trusting and professional relationship with Secura Registered Contractors and Secura Target Accounts. The aim is to make Tobermore the number one choice for retaining wall solutions through strong relationships, first class customer service, market leading resources and design support.
- Meeting with key contacts – both ‘in-person’ and over Microsoft Teams. Key contacts include roles in Estimating, Surveying, Commercial, Technical and Construction departments.
- Coordinate the Secura Registered Contractor customer process to ensure a high level of customer understanding and engagement. Support the account owner to ensure they’re managing the account effectively within procurement teams.
- Manage and develop the pipeline of Bidding Records (Tenders) from Secura Registered Contractors and Secura Target Accounts to guarantee a constant and increasing flow of sales
- Organise and lead groundworker relevant departmental “Lunch & Learn”, “CPD” or “Factory Visit” type meetings to ensure Secura Registered Contractors and Secura Target Accounts are aware of the full range services and support on offer from Tobermore.
- Deliver on-site Toolbox Talks and attend Pre-Start and Pre-construction meetings when necessary to Secura Registered Contractors and Secura Target Accounts.
- In conjunction with the Head of Retaining Walls and the Pricing Team and/or Margin Management team, develop commercial deals to grow sales. Manage these effectively and ensure return on commercial deals through sales growth.

- Collaborate with Commercial Account Managers to create clear and definitive action plans on growing relationships and sales with Secura Registered Contractors and Secura Target Accounts
- Meet each designated Commercial Account Manager on a 1-1 basis as often as required to review their Secura Registered Contractors and Secura Target Accounts results against target, inclusive of meeting frequency & quality, opportunities raised, sales.
- Collaborate with RW Specification Managers, Strategy Account Managers, Tier 1 Managers, National & Regional HB Managers etc. on Premier Opps/ High value opportunities to ensure the business is being developed in the correct way to win the order.
- Review key sales and opportunity data constantly via PowerBI & Dynamics to maintain awareness of our core client base and sales pipeline.
- Analyse lost opportunities monthly and quarterly from Secura Registered Contractors and Secura Target Accounts to understand reasons for losing business with them, and apply the learning from these to increase business won.
- Reporting to Head of Retaining walls on the status of your accounts and opportunities. This will consist of Monthly Reviews and Strategic Quarterly Reviews.
- Provide Head of Retaining Walls performance information on team member and results against target.
- Encourage teamwork and collaboration across all teams in the B2B division.
- Motivate and act as a role model, setting the highest possible standards and providing the best possible service for customers.
- Demonstrate the company values (H.E.A.R.T) in every task and colleague/customer interaction daily.
- Carry out tasks or duties as required and deemed within your competence by your manager.

- • 5 GCSE’s / Junior Cert to include English & Maths a – c or equivalent
- • Experience in B2B sales
- • Large / key account management experience
- • Proven ability of achieving targets- set within your previous role/s
- • Excellent communication and negotiation skills • Ability to present and sell products • Be well organised, systematic and disciplined and someone who enjoys the challenge of sales
- • Being enthusiastic, confident and having a desire to succeed • Have excellent telephone manner with objection handling skills

Desired Criteria
- • Experience selling to groundworkers • Experience selling retaining wall or heavy civils related products or solutions
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and relevant legislation within the construction industry
- • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
