Salesforce Data Engineer in West Des Moines, Iowa

Description We are on the lookout for a Salesforce Data Engineer to join our team in the insurance industry based in West Des Moines, Iowa. This role provides a long-term contract employment opportunity, where you will be instrumental in managing Salesforce data and developing data integration components.

Responsibilities:

• Create custom Salesforce queries using SOQL and integrate data with external systems

• Understand and manage Salesforce objects and data structures, ensuring best practices for data management

• Develop, test, and maintain pipeline architecture and data infrastructure

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop new data solutions accordingly

• Investigate and analyze the feasibility of data integration prototypes and program requirements

• Implement and support reporting and analytics infrastructure using data integration services such as Apache Kafka, Mulesoft, and Salesforce

• Develop, test, and deploy code using internal software development toolsets, including codes for deploying secure data storage, data catalogs, and data queries

• Lead complex projects or support larger initiatives as part of a team

• Research, analyze, and propose effective solutions related to system developments and enhancements

• Guide internal business customers to develop, troubleshoot, and optimize complex SQL solutions to solve reporting and analytics problems. Requirements • Demonstrated experience with Salesforce Environments

• Proficiency in Apache Kafka and Apache Spark

• Familiarity with Cloud Technologies and Database management

• Knowledge of EO/IR systems

• Ability to implement complex algorithms

• Strong analytical skills and experience with Analytics

• Proficiency in Apache Hadoop and API Development

• Experience with AWS Technologies

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Knowledge of insurance industry, specifically Life Insurance, is a plus Technology Doesn’t Change the World, People Do.®
