On call / support / change requests .Next Ventures are currently executing a search for a SAP ECTR specialist for a client on a part time basis -which may develop into a full time allocation depending on clients needs
The SAP ECTR Specialist is responsible for the effective use of the SAP Engineering Control Center software to streamline engineering processes, integrate CAD and PLM systems, and ensure efficient collaboration between engineering and other business units. This role involves configuring and managing SAP ECTR, providing technical support, and developing best practices to optimize engineering workflows.Key Responsibilities

• Integration Management: Implement and manage the integration of CAD/PLM systems with SAP through ECTR. Ensure seamless data flow and communication between different software systems.
• System Configuration: Configure and customize SAP ECTR to meet the specific needs of the engineering department, including creating templates, defining workflows, and setting up user permissions.
• Technical Support: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SAP ECTR users, addressing technical issues and ensuring minimal downtime.
• Process Optimization: Analyze current engineering processes and identify opportunities for improvement using SAP ECTR. Develop and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Training and Documentation: Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users. Maintain comprehensive documentation on system configurations, processes, and user guides.
• Collaboration: Work closely with IT, engineering, and other departments to ensure the effective use of SAP ECTR across the organization. Facilitate communication between stakeholders to align system capabilities with business requirements.
• Project Management: Lead or participate in projects related to SAP ECTR implementations, upgrades, or enhancements. Coordinate with external vendors or consultants as needed.
• Data Management: Ensure accurate and consistent data management practices within SAP ECTR. Monitor data integrity and perform regular audits to maintain data quality.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure that the use of SAP ECTR complies with company policies and industry regulations. Implement security measures to protect sensitive engineering data.
• help on a on-call support basis with SAP engineering Control Center.
• Total support task on all SAP is apx 15 changes/incidents per month, 2 larger changes, including SAP engineering Control Center.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with hands-on experience using SAP ECTR. Experience with CAD and PLM systems is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP ECTR, SAP PLM, and at least one CAD system (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Familiarity with SAP ERP and related modules.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Project Management: Experience in managing or coordinating projects. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
• Certifications: SAP certification in ECTR or PLM is preferred.
