Now Hiring: Manager, Investigations – Sudan

Location: Country Office, Sudan (with 40% field travel)

Contract Type: One-year (renewable)

Reports to: Director Ethics & Risk

Are you an experienced investigator committed to integrity, accountability, and safeguarding? Do you have the expertise to lead investigations into fraud, corruption, and misconduct in humanitarian settings? If so, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Role Overview

As Manager, Investigations, you will be responsible for managing and conducting investigations into fraud, safeguarding concerns, and other forms of misconduct. You will ensure that all cases are handled professionally, confidentially, and in line with ethical standards. This role also involves strengthening risk management practices and fostering a culture of transparency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate investigations into fraud, corruption, and safeguarding concerns.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical, legal, and organizational standards in all investigations.
  • Conduct interviews, gather evidence, and analyze findings.
  • Prepare high-quality investigation reports with clear recommendations.
  • Develop and deliver training on investigative processes and ethical compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in law, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or a professional qualification such as CFE or CPA is preferred.
  • Experience:
  • At least five years of experience conducting investigations related to fraud, safeguarding, or misconduct,
  • Including at least two years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in humanitarian or development settings is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Strong understanding of investigative principles, fraud prevention, and safeguarding policies.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and case management tools.
  • Language: Fluency in English and Arabic (both written and spoken) is required.
  • Travel: Ability and willingness to travel to field locations as needed.
