The Opportunity

The Officer-MIS will be the focal person for delivering information management systems and ICT applications for monitoring, evaluation, research, and data management across NYC project grants under the FSL programs. S/he will coordinate data collection using IMS and project templates, ensuring alignment with ICT strategies and principles.

The Officer-MIS will work closely with the Senior Officer–MEAL, partner MIS Officers, and the MEAL team to strengthen data management, reporting, and capacity building of staff and partners in data tools and protection practices. The role also includes supporting field-level assessments, attending relevant meetings, and producing timely reports for internal and external use. In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to take on additional responsibilities and adjust working hours as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, preferably in MIS, Statistics, Anthropology, Geography, Economics, Data Science, Social Science, or other relevant fields from a UGC-approved public or private university/college.

• At least 4-5 years of experience in a relevant area of work. Experience in humanitarian response programs with non-profits will be an advantage.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team, under pressure, and in sensitive environments.

• Experience in or understanding of the education sector will be an advantage.

• Ability to work under extreme circumstances, including stress, high security risks, and harsh living conditions; demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, and resilience.

• Proven track record of working with trustworthiness and integrity, with a strong commitment to Save the Children’s core values and humanitarian principles.

• Demonstrates awareness of and sensitivity to gender and diversity.
