Job Description:

Our client is hiring a highly skilled and motivated SCADA Developer to
join our client’s dynamic team. This role is essential for configuring
and programming automation and control systems involving PLCs
(Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces), and
SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems. The successful
candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the operability of
critical systems, impacting public health and the environment. This
position offers an opportunity to make independent decisions that
contribute to maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
The role is based on a full-time contract and requires a professional
capable of coordinating both maintenance and project work efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure and program automation and control systems including PLC,
    HMI, and SCADA.
  • Design, configure, and implement SCADA systems, ensuring their
    reliability and efficiency.
  • Develop machine-level HMI designs, configurations, and
    implementations tailored to project requirements.
  • Coordinate SCADA system maintenance, repair, and new installations,
    including project management and contractor oversight.
  • Conduct independent troubleshooting, maintenance, and emergency
    repairs on SCADA system components.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies to support
    business requirements, focusing on cost-effectiveness and deployment
    strategies.
  • Develop and apply comprehensive test plans to ensure SCADA system
    quality before acceptance.
  • Implement project management concepts, including planning, scope,
    budget, and schedule oversight for SCADA-related projects.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related
    field.
  • Proven experience in PLC programming and configuration.
  • Hands-on experience with SCADA system design, configuration, and
    implementation.
  • Strong understanding of machine-level HMI design and implementation.
  • Ability to make independent decisions impacting public health and
    environmental compliance.
  • Experience in researching, evaluating, and implementing new
    technologies for business enhancement.
  • Skilled in project management, with a focus on planning, scope,
    budget, and schedule management.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and maintenance skills for SCADA systems
    and components.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of coordinating with
    contractors and managing project work.
