Scenic Design

The Department of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies at Tufts University is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach an introductory course in Scenic Design in the spring semester 2026. The class meets Wednesdays 1:30-4:20pm at Tufts University Medford Campus, Aidekman Arts Center.

Scenic Design Course Description: Development of the skills of script analysis, rendering and model making, and process for the design of scenery. This course is cross-listed with Tufts Film & Media Studies Program. The scope and syllabus of this course is at the discretion of the applicant in consult with the Head of Design and Production.

Additional Duties: This position will also be a design mentor to a student designer working on a student group production, and also a student designer on a TDPS department production.
