Location: Salford, Cardiff, Birmingham, London. This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office and home working.

Contract: 1 x Fixed Term Contract/Attachment until June 2025

Salary: £27-37k pa depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights. London weighting may be applicable for this role.

Freelancers are eligible to apply for an internal role if they are on a Worker Contract and they have worked continuously for 6 months. Job Introduction

We are looking for a Project & Production Management Schemes Advisor to be a first point of contact and manage administration of our Project & Production Management schemes delivery across the UK.

Main Responsibilities

  • Managing the logistical and administrative tasks associated with the Project & Production Management Schemes’ delivery across the UK and associated activity e.g. recruitment, on-boarding, learning and training.
  • Maintaining learning records and progress reports for all Project & Production Management apprentices and trainees including documenting any performance concerns.
  • Be first point of contact/problem solver for learners pastoral support and advice.
  • Assisting the Project & Production Management Schemes Specialist /Team to manage schemes’ requirements, liaising with internal Team Leaders and external stakeholders e.g. Education Providers.
  • Acting as a point of contact/problem solver for BBC line managers who have a query about a trainee or apprentice.
  • Assisting BBC Talent Acquisition and Outreach colleagues with regard to talent attraction and initiatives, recruitment and assessment.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of the Project & Production Management Scheme.

Are you the right candidate?

The successful candidate will be an effective communicator that can influence stakeholders across different business areas. You will demonstrate examples of working at pace, showing initiative to solve complex problems by pro-actively seeking solutions. You will be well organised with developed skills in planning, time management, performance reporting etc. 

Essential: 

  • Ability to manage BBC logistical, administrative systems (e.g. travel and accommodation bookings and Microsoft packages such as Excel, PowerPoint etc)
  • Knowledge of working with entry level talent.
  • Appreciation of future workforce/technology trends in Production and skills profile of new joiners.
  • Understanding the specific challenges facing people who are new to the world of work.
  • Able to prioritise and complete tasks when faced with tight deadlines in fast paced environment.
  • Ability to identify issues that require escalation

Desirable:

  • Understanding of relevant BBC policies and procedures as they relate to developing trainees and apprentices.
  • Able to build credibility with divisions and external stakeholders.
  • Technical knowledge of apprenticeships.
