25 hours per week Term Time onlyBoscastle School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated School Secretary to join the staff team. Our school vision is “where we can all be our best” and as the first face, parents and visitors see, and callers hear, we need a kind person to represent Boscastle School to the rest of the world. In return, you will get a job that keeps you on your toes, within a supportive team and a wonderful small school community.Boscastle School is set in the picturesque harbour village of Boscastle and as a small school of three classes, we provide a unique environment in which each child is nurtured and valued as an individual. Inclusion of all our children is central to our community ethos.Boscastle School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This role requires an enhanced DBS.A person is sought who enjoys working in a busy, varied and interesting small school environment with a well-established team. The role includes working closely with the headteacher to provide admin support with the many aspects of managing a small school.Applicants should have very good interpersonal skills; a good knowledge and skills in IT and be able to work across a range of software systems on a daily basis, along with general office skills. The role requires experience of school financial systems and management.Personal qualities are also of paramount importance and the person appointed will be expected to display enthusiasm, energy, good humour, flexibility and reliability.
