This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a thriving, supportive, and forward-thinking learning environment, with a strong focus on both academic excellence and personal development.The Role:As a Teacher of Science, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on qualifications and experience. You will be joining a collaborative and dynamic Science department, committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a love of learning in students.Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons that cater to a range of learning needs and abilities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and ensuring all students achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities within the Science department.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment, in line with the school’s policies and ethos.
  • Engage with parents and carers to provide updates on student progress and encourage positive home-school partnerships.

The Ideal Candidate:The successful candidate will be passionate about Science education and have a strong commitment to promoting student success. They will be a team player with excellent communication and organisational skills, eager to contribute to the school’s ongoing development and success.Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • A degree in a Science-related subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
  • Proven experience teaching Science at secondary level (Key Stages 3 and 4).
  • A passion for delivering engaging, innovative, and inclusive Science lessons.
  • A strong understanding of the UK curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and upholding the values of the school.

Desirable:

  • Experience teaching A-Level Science.
  • Familiarity with current educational trends and initiatives within Science education.
  • Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
