Job Description

As a Security Guard – Armed Mobile Patrol in New Port Richey, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. This role includes armed responsibilities and requires driving as part of your daily duties. You will represent our agile, reliable, and innovative team, acting with integrity and putting people first as you deliver outstanding service through teamwork.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor for and report any irregularities or security-related concerns as observed during patrols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents within the government facility.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as required by site protocols.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Adhere to all Allied Universal policies and procedures while performing armed patrol duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience are required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
