As a Security Guard – Mall Bicycle Patrol in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a bustling retail location, where you will monitor and patrol designated areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. This is a driving position, requiring a valid driver’s license. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual occurrences in and around the location.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas as required by site protocols.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Able to ride a bike.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
