The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Security Lieutenant is responsible for the scheduling of officers, maintaining of records and ensuring that all officers comply with policy and procedure. The Security Lieutenant will report to the Director of Security.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 7 years security/law enforcement experience
• Excellent administrative skills, including written and verbal communication skills
• Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, & PowerPoint

Preferred:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (i.e. verbal, written).
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred education in Corporate Security, National Security, Criminal Justice, Law, Business Management, Emergency Management, or related field.
• Experience working in a Corporate Security, Hospital Security, or Contract Security department.
• Bilingual (dependent upon facility) strongly preferred.

Scheduling Requirements

• 3:00pm-11:30pm
• Full Time

Essential Functions:

• Scheduling of security sergeants and officers.
• Ensure the smooth operation of security officers and security sergeants in efficiently completing daily tasks.
• Maintain and update all security officer training records.
• Ensure that all security officers are up to date with training, current policy and procedure.
• Seek and implement new relevant training opportunities.
• Escalate any issues, concerns, and opportunities to appropriate stakeholders.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance.
• Oversee smooth operation of parking facility to include troubleshooting kiosks and replenishment and ordering of supplies.
• Download pictures and videos, when requested, to further investigations and/or comply with legal requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned and needed to ensure operational efficiency of the security department.
