Security / Loss Prevention Officer

Full-Time Loss Prevention Officer
Job Description:
– Identify and Apprehend Shoplifters through floor patrol and the use of Closed Circuit TV Cameras
– Report Writing
– Interacting with local Law Enforcement as needed
– Provide Courtroom Testimony as required
Job requirement:
– Pre-Employment Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening

– Must obtain Security License through North Dakota Private Investigation and Security Board (NDPISB) prior to beginning work
– Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3-4 hours at a time
– Reliable transportation
– Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
– Ability to communicate clearly and accurately through verbal and written means
– Ability to write legible, accurate and easily understood reports
– Must be assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation
– Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision
– Attendance for scheduled shifts. Tardiness and absenteeism is not tolerated
– Previous Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement experience is a plus but not a requirement
– Criminal Justice or related studies a plus
– High School diploma or equivalent (minimum)
