We are searching for an experienced Security Officer with a professional demeanor and the ability to provide excellent services to our residents. Our security officers patrol and secure our beautiful 145 acre retirement community.

This position will work a 4 day/10 hour shift, Wednesday – Saturday 9pm – 7am.

Responsibilities Include:

• Patrols assigned areas on foot or security vehicle checking for vandalism, suspicious activity or persons or safety/fire hazards.
• Locks and opens all street gates, doors at prescribed time.
• Check all homes for security of residents who are away on vacation, or in the hospital.
• Ensure that all doors, gates, locks windows are in safe working condition and reports any electrical, mechanical, or maintenance issue.
• Perform light maintenance after maintenance team has ended their shift.
• Enforce rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance.
• Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have Current Washington State’s driver’s license and are required to meet the minimum Company driving standards in order to safely operate a Company vehicles
• Must display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Stand or walk constantly (for up to an entire shift) on various surfaces (tile, concrete, carpet)
• Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift.
• Work in various environments including adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain or heat;
• Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs that require some computer skills.
