As a Security Officer – Academic Grounds Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as education, and more. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for any unusual circumstances.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain awareness of the surroundings.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, students, and visitors while addressing inquiries and providing assistance.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activities according to site protocols.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure and welcoming environment for all occupants.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
