Security Officer – Access Control

As a Security Officer – Access Control in Prosperity, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and conduct routine patrols to help identify and report security-related concerns. You will remain visible, support employees and guests with professional communication, and partner with site teams to keep operations moving. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at an industrial manufacturing location by following site-specific access control procedures, badging requirements, visitor management steps, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control entry and exit at gates, lobbies, and/or guard shacks, including verifying identification, checking credentials, issuing temporary badges, and directing employees, contractors, and delivery drivers to the proper areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting events, and supporting on-site response plans as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, staging areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Complete routine security-related reports and logs, monitor cameras and alarm panels when assigned, and communicate clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
