As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for clients, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $25.73 / Hour

Must have an active Armed DCJS Security License with Firearm Endorsement

Job Schedule: Fri and Sat 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

What You’ll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor for unusual activity or security-related risks, reporting observations according to site procedures.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted behavior and assist employees, visitors, and/or contractors as needed.
• Operate and carry assigned arms in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines, maintaining readiness to respond to security-related incidents.
• Collaborate with site management and local authorities as directed during emergencies or incidents.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
