As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening in Chester, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site policies while documenting security-related concerns and escalating issues through the proper chain of command.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating clearly with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and/or first responders as appropriate.
• Monitor entry points, credential checks, and visitor processing to help support authorized access and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, remaining attentive to unusual conditions, equipment concerns, and/or policy violations that may require follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
