Job Description

As a Security Officer – Flex Patrol Rover in Beachwood, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, and document observations with clear reports. What You’ll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site area.
  • Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, and directing deliveries to designated receiving areas per site procedures.
  • Complete detailed shift activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol observations, and communicate security-related concerns to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
