Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, residents, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government services location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and movement within the location, verify credentials when required, and communicate with staff regarding security-related concerns, visitor activity, and/or unusual behavior.
• Support order at the location by providing visible presence, following post orders, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and contacting emergency services or supervisory personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
