Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Operations in Auburn, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a university location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will communicate professionally, respond to campus needs, and support a welcoming environment. Job Schedule:

Day Time
Mon 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM
Fri 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM
Sat 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM
Sun 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

    Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe pedestrian and vehicle activity in assigned areas, following established site procedures for reporting concerns.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
