Job Description

As a Security Officer – Retail Patrol Driver in Goldsboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a bustling retail location, you will monitor assigned areas and conduct routine driving patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $11.98 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time
Sat 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM
Sun 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

    Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the retail location.
  • Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and around the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible security-related presence.
  • Assist with access control by observing entrances and exits and reporting any unusual activity or policy violations.
  • Support emergency response activities as required, including guiding visitors and staff during incidents.
  • Document incidents and complete reports as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Work collaboratively with retail staff and local authorities as needed to address security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
