As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and deliver exceptional customer service while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.61 / Hour Plus an an addional $5.55 / Hour for Federal Health and Welfare

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas as required by site protocols.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to established procedures.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary, following site-specific guidelines.
• Remain alert to potential security-related risks or hazards within the government facility and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New Jersey RPO Certificate is required.
• An Armed Guard Card or License is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
