Start Date: ImmediatelyWe are delighted to present an opportunity for a dedicated and inspiring Primary SEMH Teacher to join a supportive special school in Vauxhall. This permanent, full-time position offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young learners with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.As a Primary SEMH Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of students, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your role will involve collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support students’ academic, emotional, and social development.This is an ideal role for a passionate teacher looking to specialise in SEMH education or for an experienced educator seeking a new challenge. While prior experience is desirable, it is not essential, as professional development opportunities will be available.Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons designed to support students with SEMH needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment to promote learning and emotional well-being.
  • Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and external professionals to meet individual student needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour management and encourage student engagement.
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure the welfare of all students.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A genuine interest in working with students with SEMH needs.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to teaching.
  • Experience working in an SEN or SEMH setting is desirable but not essential.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
