Salary: £31,650 – £49,084 Annually (MPS/UPS) (Depending on experience)

Let’s make a difference together!About the Role:As a SEMH Teacher in Ringwood, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students with SEMH needs. You will work closely with other staff members to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, supporting students in reaching their full potential, in both their academic and personal journeys.About the School:The SEMH school in Ringwood is known for its supportive and inclusive environment. • Plan and Deliver Lessons: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of students with SEMH.
• Support Individual Learning Plans: Assist in the creation and execution of individualised education plans for students.
• Monitor Progress: Track and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure each student is progressing towards their goals.
• Collaborate with Staff and Parents: Work closely with teaching assistants, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each student’s education and well-being.
• Create a Positive Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.
• Engage and Motivate Students: Use a variety of methods to engage and motivate students, catering to different learning styles and preferences.
• Maintain Records: Keep detailed records of each student’s progress, including assessments, observations, and feedback, and communicate this information to relevant parties.

Requirements of SEMH Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience: Prior experience in teaching students with SEN, ideally within a specialist or inclusive setting, is essential.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Relationship Building: Ability to establish and maintain strong, supportive relationships with all members of the school community.
• Commitment: Demonstrate a deep commitment to helping students with SEMH, exhibiting patience and empathy.
• Qualifications: Relevant teaching qualifications or training in SEMH education (desirable but not essential).
