The candidate(s) selected will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in Chandler Fab Diffusion areas.
The technician position is responsible for effectively executing tasks and activities that are required to maintain and operate primarily the toolsets and support equipment within the Diffusion production area that will include:
The tasks and activities include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic systems, pneumatic and mechanical systems, particle inspection and partitioning, scheduled maintenance, consumable changes, and various other activities relevant to the success of the area. The desired candidate should have a solid understanding of SPC, 5s, SEMY and FDC systems (or similar), hand tool use, calibrated measurement tool use (oscilloscope, digital multi-meter, torque wrench, etc.), MFC’s, foreline leak check procedures, and demonstrate problem solving skills. The position requires the ability to interface with other internal and external groups to ensure all safety, performance, and reliability requirements are satisfied. The desired candidate will be required to follow standard work procedures, complete documentation and train others.
The desired candidate will be required to effectively communicate using written and verbal skills, stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours), work in a semiconductor cleanroom environment including subfab areas, and be physically able to perform required tasks which may include stooping, crawling in confined spaces, and lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds.
The position requires working compressed shifts, days or nights.
Education:
AA, AS, AAS, in electronics or other industrial engineering related discipline is preferred. Education along with experience or military training may satisfy formal education requirements.
Experience:
Specific knowledge of semiconductor maintenance job functions is required.
