Job Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Hackney
Salary: £90 – £130 per day

Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Support students with special educational needs in the classroom
• Help implement individual education plans (IEPs)
• Assist the teacher with classroom activities and behaviour management
• Provide 1:1 or small group support when required
• Encourage student independence and social interaction
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents/carers

Requirements for an SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role
• A kind, patient, and positive attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
• Understanding of different SEN needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or MLD
• A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
