This is a fulfilling role for an empathetic and reliable individual who is committed to making a meaningful impact in the classroom.About the Role:You will work alongside class teachers and inclusion staff to support students with a variety of special educational needs, including autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. This is a hands-on role, requiring adaptability, initiative, and a nurturing attitude.Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted support to students in one-to-one and small group settings
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that encourages learning
• Implement EHCP targets and tailored learning strategies
• Encourage emotional wellbeing and help pupils regulate behaviour
• Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and external professionals
• Support with classroom activities, transitions, and break/lunchtime supervision
• Where necessary, provide personal care in line with pupil needs.

Job Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must:

• Have previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant with neurodiverse students.
• Possess a relevant qualification in Education, SEN, or Child Development (desirable but not essential).
• Demonstrate an understanding of SEN strategies, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties and other additional needs.
• Be a compassionate and patient individual, able to provide a nurturing approach to learning.
• Have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with staff, students and parents effectively.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
