Female Teaching Assistant (with Intimate Care Duties)

Recruiter: Principal EducationPrincipal Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a supportive and inclusive school that is seeking a dedicated Female Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This role involves providing one-to-one and small-group support for pupils, including intimate care responsibilities for female students with additional needs.Key Details:
- Role: Female Teaching Assistant (with Intimate Care duties)
- Start: September 2025
- Duration: Full academic year (subject to performance and ongoing student needs)
- Hours: Full-time, term-time only
- Location: Tower Hamlets
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the learning and development of female students with additional needs
- Assisting with personal care routines, including intimate care
- Promoting independence, dignity, and inclusion
- Working closely with teaching staff and SEN teams to provide consistent support
- Maintaining accurate records and upholding safeguarding and confidentiality protocols
Requirements:
- Female TA (in line with the school’s specific care needs and in compliance with Equality Act exemptions)
- Prior experience in a care or SEN support setting is highly desirable
- Compassionate, reliable, and professional
- Comfortable and confident in providing intimate care (training can be provided)
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
