The legal department of Coca-Cola Europe is looking for a talented, creative, and agile legal professional to serve as Sr. Legal Assistant, Europe OU. As one of The Coca-Cola Company’s most critical and successful business units. The Europe Operating Unit (Europe OU) is comprised of both developed and emerging markets. This complexity presents both challenges and opportunities in the legal support necessary to unlock the growth potential of the Europe OU. The successful applicant will be responsible for partnering with the legal professionals of the Europe OU’s legal department to provide creative solutions to the European business. Responsibilities:

As a Sr. Legal Assistant, Europe OU, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Legal team across Europe. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining legal trackers updated and validating them periodically with the operations counsel.
  • Assisting with the corporate entity management process, including verification based on Legal Counsel/ trainee lawyers’ due diligence.
  • Providing accurate and timely financial record keeping for department, including preparing, processing, and/or reconciling expense reports.
  • Tracking the department’s budget, raising and facilitating purchase orders, invoices, and preparing budget status reports.
  • Supporting legal counsels in their efforts to communicate with business teams on various administrative matters.
  • Collaborating with other legal assistants, trainees, and counsels to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Participating in regular meetings with the legal team.
  • Providing effective, timely, and accurate administrative support to the legal department, including maintaining files, calendars, and databases.
  • Creating, maintaining, and editing documents (contracts, templates, Preparing PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, and Word documents).
  • Ordering and maintaining office supplies, scheduling and coordinating meetings and travel arrangements.
  • Providing responsive and professional support to principals, department, and client base, including responding to client requests, assuming responsibility and ownership of work, collaborating with team members to ensure adequate administrative coverage, and maintaining a high level of confidentiality.

Experience/skills:

  • The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to work in a team, and excellent communication skills.
  • This candidate will also have a positive attitude, a strong desire to collaborate with the department, a growth mindset, and a commitment to excellence.
  • This position also requires a high level of proficiency in English, as well as familiarity with legal terminology, documentation, and a willingness to learn (and remain apprised of) new processes and technologies.
  • The successful candidate must feel comfortable working under pressure while managing multiple tasks and priorities, meeting deadlines, and handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Experience serving as an administrative assistant at a law firm or global in-house legal department
