What can you expect?
Lead a team contributing to client projects and deliverables focusing on US employers’ healthcare benefits experience and strategies, including underwriting and financial projections, carrier selection, plan design changes and optimization, employee contribution setting, estimating incurred but unpaid (IBNP) claims, and evaluating well-being initiatives
Help build, train and develop your team
Directly contribute to more complex client projects or deliverables – sometimes as an individual contributor, and sometimes providing direction to junior analysts
Opportunity to work live with US consulting teams and clients
Serve as a financial client contact, and present deliverables to clients
Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and subject matter experts
Manage deadlines and quickly evolving priorities
What you need to have:
Entirely fluent in English
At least ten years’ relevant work experience in consulting, insurance, underwriting, finance, human resources or accounting. With:
At least five of those years in actuarial consulting, and
At least five of those years in management roles responsible for training and mentoring new hires and early professionals
Certified actuary by the CONAC in the field of “Accidentes, Enfermedades y Salud” *or* FSA credential from SOA in Group and Health track
Excellent analytical skills – experience in data analysis or financial modeling
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proven project management skills and creative problem-solving abilities
Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
Experience presenting technical concepts to a non-technical audience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office—Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
