Our client has a number of offices, and their highly regarded Personal Injury team has a strong reputation for client care, community engagement, and specialist legal expertise. Our client is looking for an individual to enhance the Personal Injury/Industrial Disease team with either a Senior Associate or Legal Director.Role OverviewThis is a senior position for an experienced solicitor with a particular interest in asbestos-related claims. You will play a key role in expanding the firm’s Personal Injury department, managing high-value claims, supervising a team, and furthering the reputation of the firm in this complex and sensitive area of law.Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a caseload of asbestos-related personal injury claims
• Provide strategic direction and development of the asbestos claims department.
• Supervise and mentor junior fee earners and support staff.
• Act as a primary contact for clients and their families, offering compassionate, client-centred service.
• Liaise with medical experts, barristers, and insurers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with relevant charities, medical professionals, and support organisations.
• Contribute to business development, marketing, and the wider strategic growth of the firm.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including SRA requirements and GDPR.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 6 years PQE.
• Proven experience handling asbestos disease litigation at a senior level.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-value claims from start to finish.
• Strong network within the asbestos or industrial disease community.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• A client-focused approach with a commitment to delivering empathetic and effective service.
• Business development acumen and a commercial mindset.
