Senior CAD Drafter / BIM Modeler

position Summary:

We are a Commercial HVAC Contractor seeking a detail-oriented Senior CAD Drafter/BIM Modeler to support HVAC and plumbing construction projects. This role is responsible for translating engineering markups into accurate, build-ready 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Revit, while ensuring consistency with internal standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop HVAC and plumbing drawings and 3D models based on engineering markups and project specifications
• Create and update plans, sections, and detailed drawings
• Apply and maintain internal CAD/BIM standards across all work
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to clarify design intent
• Maintain organized models, drawing sets, revision history, and deliverable logs
• Support BIM coordination by preparing/exporting files and cleaning up models
• Prepare and review final drawing packages (PDFs and print sets)
• Manage workload to meet project deadlines and schedules
• Perform additional drafting/modeling tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
• experience with Dynamo (script creation, execution, and troubleshooting)
• 7+ years of drafting/modeling experience in HVAC, plumbing, or MEP environments
• Strong ability to interpret mechanical and plumbing design drawings
• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Highly detail-oriented with strong document control practices
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
