Our team

The Personal Customers Strategy & Executive Advisory team is looking for an experienced member to join us. We are responsible for defining and sharpening the overall strategic direction of Danske Bank’s Personal Customer Business Unit. We cover both personal and private banking across all Nordic markets.

We work with senior leadership to support decision-making and assess strategic implications across commercial focus areas, value propositions, partnerships and M&A. Additionally, we collaborate closely with the Personal Customer Strategy Execution Team, where we guide strategic decisions and direct essential content and design choices for our Forward 2028 strategy.

About the role

We are looking for a senior or chief strategy consultant who can help shape direction, drive impact, and navigate complex assignments. We are not just looking for a polished slide deck but someone who asks the right questions, simplifies the complex, and encourages clarity and purpose. Depending on your experience, you will drive or support high-complexity assignments while managing several smaller projects or tasks simultaneously.

You will:

• Lead or support strategic problem-solving workstreams, often moving from ambiguity to clarity, and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Engage with a wide range of stakeholders and have end-to-end responsibility for project execution with colleagues from across the organisation. You will work in a team with other Chief Consultants/Strategy Directors and guide allocated junior employees.
• Create narratives, presentations and communications that build alignment and momentum.

Your background

Whether your background is in consulting, finance, strategy, operations, or another field, you should have at least 4-5 years of relevant experience. What matters most is your ability to:

• Being a problem-solver in your thinking while being flexible in your approach to challenges.
• Understand the commercial consequences of decisions
• Synthesise data and ideas into strong narratives, being a compelling storyteller
• Effectively manage stakeholders, winning trust from senior management and colleagues alike.
• Lead or drive strategic initiatives with tangible business impact
• Be independent, proactive and willing to challenge or be challenged

While not a requirement, experience with data analytics and coding in e.g. SQL or Python is highly appreciated. Bonus points if you have experience in consulting, corporate strategy, finance or business analytics – but it is not a requirement.
