Sagana Consulting advises investors, development organizations, foundations, corporations and other allocators of capital on maximizing the transformational effect of their resources. Opportunity:

We are hiring a senior director-level consultant with an unwavering enthusiasm for impact to grow our impact investing consulting practice, with a particular focus on climate initiatives, who will direct multiple projects simultaneously across a range of high-growth industries and client types.

You will contribute actively in both business development and internal initiatives. In other words, you will have an integral part in accelerating Sagana’s growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively lead projects related to climate impact through investment, including themes such as adaptation and resilience, just transition, and mitigation. You will develop project scopes informed by the innovations seen on our investment side and deeply rooted in what’s realistic to implement over the coming years.
  • Ensure high-quality, on-time delivery across multiple projects at once, by building and directing workplans, timelines and budgets
  • Effectively develop and deepen relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders – both to execute on projects and to build Sagana’s network
  • Bring new relationships and strengthen existing client relationships that generate new business for Sagana. Write proposals and pitch new projects to both existing and new clients

Skills and Experience:

  • Have at least 10 years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years actively working in a well-established consulting firm. You know how to be a great consultant
  • Experience developing and growing climate projects in emerging markets working with catalytic capital such as foundations, corporations, and other global actors. We are looking for someone to help shape and grow this business line
  • Experience working with culturally diverse client and colleague teams is necessary! You are a global citizen who thrives working remotely and across time-zones
  • Proven project management skills in growing complex projects with multiple and diverse stakeholders. You think and work across sectors
  • Thrive in an entrepreneurial culture. You get things done, pay attention to details as well as strategy and dive deep into the work when necessary. You like to build new ventures and your commitment to quality is unwavering
  • Skilled communicator, both written and oral. Comprehensive presentation and facilitation skills. Fearless in delivering complex messages
  • Fluency in English. Knowledge of other languages is an added advantage.
