Responsibilities
Operating under minimal supervision, the Senior EMR Informatics Specialist defines project scope and objectives based on needs, and creates formal proposals, business cases, requirements, specifications, test and communication plans. Competent to work at a mid level technical level during all phases of the project life cycle. Studies needs, investigates solutions and presents recommendations to management. Manages assigned projects to ensure project scope is completed on time and within budget. Serves as a liaison for internal and external stakeholders, and vendors as well as a resource for all users in the implementation, maintenance and ongoing education of assigned systems. Applies an in depth knowledge of all phases of the project life cycle and mastery of project management techniques and methodology combined with excellent critical thinking/analysis, troubleshooting, and oral and written communication skills.
- This position has the opportunity to work from home. You may be asked to complete training at a Norton Healthcare facility or be able to come to a Norton Healthcare facility for business purposes. Employees in this role must reside in Kentucky or Indiana**
Qualifications
Required:
- Three years Health Information Management or Health Information Technology design and build experience
- Bachelor Degree
- One of: RHIA or RHIT
Desired:
- Registered Health Information Administrator OR Registered Health Information Technician OR Project Management Professional OR EPIC Certification OR OnBase Certification
