About the team

PwC has designated sustainability and ESG services as its global priority for the coming years. As a member of our Regulatory & Sustainability Consulting team you’ll help our clients balance competing economic, social and environmental goals with national and European regulatory requirements. Our advice goes right to the heart of national and corporate policy and strategy, addressing everything from changing financial regulations to the disclosure and reporting of environmental impacts and climate risks.

About your manager

Martin Tomešek is a manager in the Technology Consulting team and is the head of our Sustainability team. Martin has 6 years of experience in financial consulting and specializes in project management, regulatory compliance, data privacy and risk management. Martin delivered a large number of projects for banks and insurance companies in the region of Central and Eastern Europe, but also in Central Asia and Central America. He perceives the field of ESG as full of possibilities, innovations, interesting technologies and as an ideal environment for personal and professional growth. In his free time, he is engaged in martial arts, fitness and various adrenaline adventures.

Job description & summary

  • Delivering ESG engagements in several fields (financial segment, FMCG, manufacturing, etc.)
  • Helping with sustainability strategies and product offerings
  • Perform process and gap analysis for upcoming regulations
  • Helping clients to reach their sustainability objectives
  • Designing and implementing new processes, procedures and systems
  • Cooperating across borders with other PwC firms

Requirements of the role

  • 2+ years of experience in the field of sustainability management or CSR activities (legal, finance, management consulting)
  • Knowledge of the CSRD/ESRS, ESG strategies, taxonomies and/or ESG risk management is a huge advantage
  • Strong communication skills in Czech and English
  • Open-mindedness and intellectual curiosity
  • Innovative approach and critical-thinking
  • Enthusiasm about developing and challenging yourself
