We put employees at the heart of what we do, delivering human-centric transformations that go beyond traditional change programs.The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Organisational Design Senior Manager to join our Financial Services, UK Workforce Transformation leadership team and lead across our solution offerings of Future Workforce, Future Organisation Design and Future Performance.Overview of the roleAs an Organisational Design Senior Manager in our team, you will be responsible for leading large-scale transformative organisational design projects for our clients. You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering innovative and insightful solutions and providing best-practice insights and guidance to support successful client delivery. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and management across our team, supporting effective go-to market strategies and improving the maturity of our overall organisation design capability and solution offering.Key Responsibilities
- Lead on the successful delivery of large-scale transformation projects that require deep technical expertise across organisation design, target operating model and organisational effectiveness capabilities.
- Support in driving go-to-market activities by overseeing and leading on proposal development, representing our team and solutions by attending pitches, and responding to client’s specific engagement needs.
- Support in establishing workforce transformation strategies and opportunity areas to identify target client and solution growth as part of the wider Workforce Transformation leadership team.
- Have a solid understanding of EY solution offerings across the firm and build a well-connected internal network to bring the best of EY to our clients and be able to sell People Consulting alongside our other service line offerings.
- Hold account/ sector/solution management responsibilities to help drive commercial success and strengthen our strategic partnership with clients.
- Align Workforce Transformation offerings with sector needs, by having deep understanding of at least one of the sectors we serve across Financial Services (e.g., Banking and Capital Markets, Insurance, Wealth and Asset Management, FinTech and Private Equity).
- Advance the People Consulting and Workforce Transformation practice by representing the business in relevant forums, authoring thought leadership, and leading the development of EY methodologies.
- Act as an SME within the Workforce Transformation team. Remain versed in the latest OD practices. Establish and deliver learning and upskilling opportunities to mature service offering and capability. Provide coaching and development opportunities for more-junior resources and peers.
- Act as a visible role model for our people by advocating and demonstrating the EY behaviours and values. Encourage and facilitate collaboration amongst team members and promote an inclusive working environment.
Skills and Attributes for success
- Experienced in developing innovative and pragmatic Organisation Design and Target Operating Model designs that enable strategy execution and acceleration of business performance.
- Strong competency in developing and defining business cases to support clients in articulating the case and rational for change. Apply commercial and business acumen to identify, track and delivery quantifiable and qualitative value.
- Experienced leading on large scale transformation projects, assuming operational responsibility and accountability for the successful delivery of the client engagements.
- Understands and can position organisation design concepts to deliver on client needs, whether the drivers for change be transactions, strategic cost transformation, improving customer success, driving operational effectiveness, or improving employee experience.
- Is confident in leveraging organisational effectiveness measures to assess and validate organisational constructs and identify opportunities for change. Is data-savvy and experienced in leveraging data and insights to support effective decision making.
- Comfortable leveraging tools and accelerators such as organisation design modelling and data analysis frameworks to more rapidly deliver value for clients.
- Has strong interpersonal, communication and reporting capability to build and maintain strategic relations with clients across C-suite and executive positions. Be comfortable influencing and persuading clients and stakeholders to gain support for major change initiatives and/or decisions.
- Has good understanding of the opportunities and risks associated with acquisitions, divestures, mergers and the organisational design implications.
- Has extensive experience in developing, shaping, and delivering Organisation Design projects from planning through to implementation. Is capable at managing project resources and budgets effectively and ensuring proactive mitigation of risks and issues.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- Relevant professional experience at Senior Manager level either within a consultancy or internal position delivering mid-large-scale project(s) leveraging the competencies of Target Operating Model design, Organisational Structure and Design, Organisational Effectiveness, Change Management Capability Mapping, Organisational Assessment, and/or Organisational Governance.
- Ability to travel (primarily within UK, if client requires)
