Summary

As a Senior Programmer (BATCH/UNIX/LINUX/C) – HYBRID TALLAHASSEE, FL at Gainwell, you will be a part of an innovative healthcare technology company with a mission to serve the healthcare needs of our communities. Your role in our mission

Take a close look at some of the details that contribute to Gainwell’s industry-leading tools and technologies in this challenging position. 

• Code, test, debug, implement and document moderately complex programs
• Analyze, design and write specs and reqs from which we develop and code programs
• Evaluate existing systems and programs; assist project the manager in assigning tasks and work closely with a team
• Liaise with clients and management to provide technical consulting on complex programming projects, validate program requirements and resolve issues that arise
• Develop test plans and participate in QA activities such as coding reviews
• Participate as a member of a development team and lead a small sub-team of developers as needed
• Design system components and delegate responsibilities to team members

What we’re looking for

• 6+ years of applications development with batch programming experience in C/Unix/Linux environment
• Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, complex SQL work, and query tuning experience
• Experience working with Rules Engine would be a plus and BPA Rules Sheets.
• Expertise in Batch job automation and notification services.
• Java and/or .NET experience is a plus.
• Healthcare/Medicaid work experience is a plus.

What you should expect in this role

• This is a Hybrid role. Mostly telecommuting working from home.
• Prefer applicants who live within a 50-mile radius of Tallahassee, FL and able to be onsite in the office as needed (onsite in office on Fridays)
• Will consider applicants who are able to relocate to the Tallahassee, FL area – relocation bonus/assistance not provided
• Will also consider out of state applicants who are not able to relocate
• Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation.

The pay range for this position is $60,000 – $85,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
