About the RoleWorking as part of multi-disciplinary teams, you will support the Principal Investigator in delivery of research activity on the large NIHR funded project, ‘Strengthening Fraud across the NHS in England’. This multi-disciplinary study brings together researchers from Northumbria University and the University of Manchester to assess policy approaches, map institutional and networks landscapes, and identify where counter fraud approaches across the NHS in England can be improved. It will build evidence, recommendations and resources to help in the fight against fraud, with the ultimate aim of helping to reduce the loss of money, damage to the public trust and impact on quality and safety of healthcare of illegally obtained employment, property or money depriving the NHS of much needed funds.The role-holder will support the first work package of the project, undertaking landscape mapping, policy analysis in the area of counter fraud in the NHS, secondary analysis of quantitative data, interviews of national stakeholders, and the development of effective and novel ways to present findings, including recommendations for improvement, across the health counter fraud sector.This is a fixed-term role, for 12 months.Further information about the requirements of the role is available in the .This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 therefore the successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.If you would like an informal discussion about the role, please contact Associate Professor Cerian Griffiths atTo apply for this vacancy please click ‘Apply Now’.
