Support the efforts of the protein purification team projects, which include SARS-CoV-2, HIV, VZV, EBV, HA, PIV3, RSV, HMPV, and VLP. Pack and qualify columns, analyze results, and write methods using Unicorn on AKTA AVANT systems.

Essential Functions

• Support protein purification team projects which Include SARS-CoV-2, HIV, VZV, EBV, HA, PIV3, RSV, HMPV, and VLP
• Pack and qualify columns, analyze results, and write methods using Unicorn on the Cytiva AKTA AVANT systems.
• Understand chromatography matrixes such as IEX, SEC, HIC, Affinity and Mixed-Mode.
• Perform buffer preparation, SDS-PAGE, Western Blots, BCA and other protein quantification assays without assistance.
• Keep accurate documentation.
• Analyze data with appropriate software and write reports In slide format using PowerPoint.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Accurate documentation and analyzing of data.
• Candidate mustbeflexiblein timemanagement.
• Self-starter who can work independently and a team player who can work cross functionally. Attention to detail is desirable.

education, experience, Licenses & Certifications

• Bachelor’sdegreeinbiologicalscience,molecularbiology, immunology,or equivalentyearsofrelevantindustryexperience.
• At least 5 years hands on Industry experience with protein characterization and lab environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Mobility & Dexterity
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (e.g., during experiments, testing or while working at benches).
  • Fine motor skills for handling small instruments, pipettes or delicate samples.
  • Ability to bend, reach, squat or climb small ladders/steps.
• Lifting and Carrying
  • Ability life and carry up to 5-10 lbs. (e.g., boxes of supplies, lab equipment, waste containers).
  • Some roles may require pushing/pulling carts or equipment.

The annual base salary (or hourly wage) for this position falls within the range of $72,700.00 – $90,850.00. However, the actual base pay offered may vary based on several individualized factors, such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
