The Quality Control Manager is an integral part of the Project Team responsible for the implementation and execution of CWC’s Quality Management System and management of submittals and RFI’s. As well as provide quality control support to field and corporate personnel.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct and document Initial Inspections (Phase 2) for each definable feature of work. Ensure all required/approved materials, equipment, and personnel are available. Verify preliminary work and inspect the initial placement of work
QC Training
Risk Management and Loss Reductions
Provide field observations and suggestions regarding opportunities to improve performance and lower insurance costs
Assist with QC claims handling and their resolution
Assist in QC incident investigations and reporting
Knowledge, experience, and Special Skills Required
Architectural or Engineering degree in Structural, Mechanical, Electrical or other Construction related field is preferred
A minimum of 3 years of experience managing and coordinating submittal processes and performing quality control inspections of the work with a minimum of 5 years of construction experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Trustworthy, self-motivated, passionate and dedicated to high-quality work
Works successfully as part of a team
Ability to perform all duties in a digital/paperless environment
OSHA 30 hour, first aid and CPR certifications
Job Demands
Individuals should be able to reach above and below, stoop, stand, bend and, sit, walk, climb ladders and stairs. Individuals should also be able to lift, carry and/or move items up to 25lbs.
May be exposed to heavy machinery/equipment, hazardous chemicals and extreme weather conditions.
Minimum of 40 hours per week required. Work hours will vary depending on project requirements, and may involve weekends and night work.
