Applications are invited for a full time, three-year teaching fellow position in acoustical engineering. The post is split between our Southampton campuses and our Joint Education Institute with Harbin Engineering University (HEU) in China, with the incumbent spending one semester at each per year.During the annual period spent at HEU, you will undertake delivery of taught modules, project supervision, student support and programme management in partnership with staff from HEU and a small team of our other staff in similar roles. You will be joined periodically by members of our ‘flying faculty’ teaching team. Accommodation in China will be provided free of charge during your stays.You will be part of the world-renown Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR) which has been at the forefront of sound and vibration for over 60 years. You will work closely with colleagues from ISVR and the wider School of Engineering when in Southampton to deliver world-class education to our diverse engineering student cohorts.You will have a PhD or equivalent experience in acoustics, vibration or a related area, with a background in signal processing, active control, noise control or robotic systems. You will also have significant prior experience of and a demonstrable passion for delivering a high-quality student learning experience.
