The Senior Technical Analyst monitors and meets service-level agreements.
Installs turnover components or projects into production or test
environment, utilizing approved standards and methodologies. Provides backup
and recovery for cycle, online problems, and business resumption.
Optimizes running of production or test systems by enhancing JCL and/or
system products.

We are looking for a Senior Technical Analyst who will:
Implement components of product turnover and/or releases into batch cycles.
Perform maintenance on JCL and software libraries.
Run and monitor batch processing cycles.
Execute customer requests for service.
Performs problem resolution and recovery.
Frequent contact with developers to review turnover requests, discuss
changes to JCL, control cards and job scheduling, resolve problem
situations, and notify of request completion. Regular contact with project
managers to discuss project implementation scheduling concerns. Regular
contact with other CSG employees to review and discuss information on customer
requests for service.
Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates with:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) in Computer Science, related field, or
equivalent experience
Proficiency in English in a business environment
5 years of experience with PC related software.
Elementary knowledge of batch cycle support, abend recovery, escalation
procedures and job restarts.
Understanding of CSG batch cycle processing and online environments.
Understanding of environment concatenation strategies.
Elementary skills in the utilization of JCL, CA-7 scheduling tool,
ROSCOE, TSO, VSAM, and utilities.
Ability to take initiative, prioritize work assignments and respond
effectively to priority changes.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work with diverse departments and staff with varying levels of
technical knowledge.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to acquire problem recognition and resolution skills.
Ability to provide support 24 hours per day, seven days per week when
assigned on-call responsibilities.
Ability to use a personal computer. Proficiency with other Microsoft Office
applications.

Preferred
The incumbent is challenged to ensure technician-initiated requests are
implemented into the appropriate job in the batch cycle and CA-7 is scheduled
efficiently. The incumbent is challenged to understand multiple levels of file
concatenations when environments are joined together. The incumbent is
challenged to recognize and communicate solutions to improve the efficiency
and economy of batch cycles, data transfer and manipulation processes, and
other TSG activities.
