In this position, you will be working within the Power & Renewables business unit.With specialized expertise in fundamental power market modeling, forecasting, power flow dynamics, and congestion management, we help our clients-from asset managers and developers to utilities and power traders -navigate the complexities and volatility of power markets.Our team seamlessly combines cloud computing expertise with deep domain knowledge to deliver impactful, data-driven solutions in the energy sector.PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

• Lead our efforts to help project developers conduct injection studies in compliance with NERC, regional reliability standards, and RTO/ISO requirements.
• Provide technical insights into generation interconnection studies, network upgrade economics and transmission congestion analysis across our platform.
• Work alongside other power market experts to provide solutions across the entire spectrum of the electricity industry.
• Deploy production-grade code.

Competitive Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power systems, computer science, applied mathematics or a related field; Master’s/PhD preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in transmission planning, grid operations, or related areas in the power sector.
• Proficiency in power system modeling tools (e.g., PSS/E, PowerWorld, TARA, PROMOD) and the theory behind them.
• Deep understanding of load flow analysis, contingency analysis, and transient stability studies.
• Familiarity with the economic modeling of power markets.
• Knowledge of NERC reliability standards, RTO/ISO operations, and generation interconnection processes.
