Job Title: Senior Video Editor
Length of Initial Assignment: 1 Year
Location: North Chicago, IL, 60064
Overview
The Senior Video Editor creates compelling, story-driven video content and plays a key role in planning and executing video shoots. This role combines strong editorial judgment with hands-on production support to deliver polished, on-brand work.
Responsibilities
* Edit high-quality video content that aligns with brand and creative objectives
* Collaborate with writers, designers, and creative leadership to craft engaging visual stories
* Shape narrative, pacing, and tone across interview-driven (“talking head”), documentary-style, and branded content
* Ensure brand consistency and technical excellence across all deliverables
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing deadlines with creative quality
* Stay current with editing techniques, production workflows, and emerging tools
* Partner with creative and project managers to align on goals, timelines, and expectations
* Lead by example through strong creative execution, communication, and collaboration
* Support video shoots, including developing shot lists, lighting setups, and equipment needs
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree preferred
* 3-5 years of experience in video production, post-production, or an agency/creative environment
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects); experience with audio editing required
* Familiarity with AI tools and/or 3D workflows is a plus
* Strong portfolio demonstrating narrative storytelling, interview-driven (“talking head”) content, motion graphics, and typographic sensibility
* Strong communication and organizational skills
