Salary: Basic salary from £45,000 – OTE of £55,000Our client, a well-established automotive dealership in Exeter, is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Manager to lead their service department. If you’re looking to take the next step in your career and make a real impact within a successful dealership, this role could be ideal for you.Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of Technicians and Service Advisors, ensuring high standards of customer satisfaction and efficient service operations.Your main duties will include:

• Cost Control: Monitoring and controlling costs in line with business targets, while maintaining quality and customer service standards.
• Customer Data Management: Ensuring accurate collection and recording of customer data in line with company guidelines.
• Manufacturer Standards: Making sure all work complies with manufacturer requirements and standards.
• Workplace Safety: Ensuring a safe and compliant working environment at all times.
• Team Management: Monitoring team performance, offering coaching and training to help colleagues achieve their potential.
• Process Improvement: Implementing effective processes to drive customer satisfaction above the national average.

About YouThe successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role within the motor industry, ideally with franchise experience. You should be able to demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills, with a focus on achieving business objectives.You’ll also need:

• A history of driving performance, profitability, and operational efficiency.
• The ability to motivate and manage a diverse team to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and fostering a positive work environment.
