Service Tech Class C (ED-219) (1229)

Job purpose

Assist in certain phases of operation, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of particular systems of the construction and mining equipment engine or of base the base machine. This includes mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Assists senior level Service Technicians wherever required and observes closely to gain knowledge. While working as a Service Technician – Class C, you will be working in an OJT status.

Duties and responsibilities

• Assists in the repair of shop and or field work
• Must do service reports, time cards, and other paper work in a legible, understandable manner
• Assist senior Technicians where required and observe closely to gain additional knowledge
• Ensure that all jobs working on are completed, and that the work was done in a proficient and safe manor
• Make sure that the shop work space that was utilized is cleaned after every job is finished
• Must take advantage of all service schools and training programs that are offered by the company
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have mechanical aptitude

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must have a understanding of the above titled position and how it relates to the overall
• business and its’ objectives
• Must have a current driver’s license and acceptable driving record per WPI insurance carrier
• standard if driving company vehicle
• Must be able to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirement as outlined by the Department of Transportation
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, must be able to bend and twist several times a day
• Must have the ability to effectively operate test equipment and have good troubleshooting skills

Working Conditions:

• Typical hours of work Monday through Friday; 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.
• Weekend hours as necessary
• May require work in inclement weather conditions and/or hazardous work environments
