Service Technician – Used Vehicles

Due to an increase in Used Vehicle Sales, the Lake Automotive Group has an opening for a Used Vehicle Service Technician (UVST). A UVST at Lake Automotive Group is responsible for the safety inspection and repairs necessary to properly recondition a trade-in, lease turn-in or an auction vehicle for sale on our used vehicle lots. The ideal candidate should have two years or more of related automotive service experience and is looking to advance their career. Many of our Used Vehicle Service Techs have come from independent repair shops or have been an Express/Quick Lube Tech.

Responsibilities:
* Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and other safety related concerns on used vehicles
* Work closely with our Internal Service Advisors and Used Vehicle Sales Managers to quickly diagnose and repair used vehicles
* Ability to clearly define and explain repairs that were performed  

 Requirements:
 * A minimum of one (1) ASE (National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence) certification, a degree from an automotive technician training school, or a full year’s experience in a professional garage
 * Basic computer skills
 * Ability to work with little supervision
 * Valid Wisconsin drivers license
